    Cbx1000r

so... heres what Id do, slip the 1000/6 into the R and match the CBX faring to R colours... or fit the tail section of the R to the thour and colour match the X fairing to the R, then sell on the CBX1100 as Id keep the CB1000R

Why would anyone take an iconic bike and turn it into a basket case?

    Ya wanna do it properly.
Get a machine shop to cut the crank and block so you lose two cylinders and just run with four, be massive weight saving. Be the devils bike then 666cc.
Lose that jumbo jet front fairing and café racer it, be a real street sleeper ready to eat fireblades and r1s...

the first ones are iconic. The watered down F2 begs to be customised. Look at market prices: an average unfaired one is 12k, and that guy can't get $8500 for that one: its been on tardme for months.

to quote my hot rodder brother in law (cool Model A Ford, yo! - its in the Steve Holmes book) Restoring is boring.

Its like how those old Suzuki KAtanas can be quite cool bikes if a lot of time and effort is put into them.... otherwise just another old Japper.....
