trev, I'm interested, in what way is the C better than the B? Having just recently bought a B I'm interested to know.

I fully expect they probably are better, more R&D etc, but mine can out handle me, and that's about all it has to do...

Gixxer would be your best bet overall, not that i'm bias or anything, i fkn love ZX7R's, almost brought one not that long ago. For the kinda money your're looking at you could get a pretty mint 98 GSXR750. Keep looking around and dont rush in to get a bike.

    cheers guys

    cheers guys

Doh i always rush in..... i cant help it

The zx9 is a 1995 (which im thinking might be a tad old) its 7495$ , the zx7 i rode last night was a 96, they also had a 99 zx7 for 10995, that they said they may be a tad flexible on, Mike also said they would throw in 500$ worth of gear, i could go for the 99 one for an extra grand, im thinking its worth it

i know i will end up paying more buying the bike from a dealer, but im not too worried about that..

My main thing tho is Gas, and traffic, thus im thinking the zx7 might use a tad less fuel, and be a bit more nimble thru the traffic.. after all that is why im buying another bike, i am going to buy something this week (im impatient and will prolly find a injected gixxer after I buy a zx7 or 9)v my passenger comfort isnt tooo high on my concern list :P

so how many votes for the zx9 ?

So do you cross the road without looking ???

    A quick check on www.bikepoint.co.nz shows :-

2002 ZX9R $9,995 Roadsports- Hamilton dealer The 2002 was the F series but I bet it is an E2 the same as mine. Im rapt with my bike. Thrashing ( by my standards )it on the weekends I have got 200 kms & not gone onto reserve.

    1999 ZX9R $9,450 Bay Motorcycles This should be a C1 or C2.

Trademe will probably have better deals. Money is hard to come by - spend it wisely.

No no... i only rush into buying things

I have spotted those, but id rather buy locally, then if anything goes wrong i can go ride it in through their front display window, without travelling to far

I just spent 7k on my subaru engine, so will be financing the bike, so trademe is not really an option, although i would save some bucks there....

my main issue is not the inital cost of the bike, but the savings i will make in petrol (subaru uses 500$ of gas a month commuting, even the shitter mazda i have uses about 400$ a month)

It seems all the bikes im looking at are mostly scattered over the lower parts of the country

The zx9 will probably use less fuel, provided you use torque as opposed to revs to move yourself around. The zx9 is more street oriented than the 7, and I don't think the difference in weight will really make enough difference to slow you down.
