just a note to any local bikers who may park there....best place for bike safety is down by the fuel site. there is a staff member there all day every day who can keep an eye on things [i work there myself, and make a point of watching who parks what bike where] in the underground parking lot i cant see as well, but do regular walk arounds. i generally park near the no parking bit in the side running along glasgow st [i think? or maybe its london? dunno] and the other staff seem to do the same.
if your gonna park by the fuel site....i highly suggest a block of wood for the kickstands. its only crappy tarseal which leads to the bikes sinking. even the scooters are leaving little dents everywhere, but the big bikes are leaving rather deep holes. i was moving mine and another staff members bike every hour or so to keep them from tipping too far, but he supplied some wood which works ok. i have 3 spare bits that i can and will supply if needed as i dont like the idea of moving customers bikes without them around.
i took the problem to my boss, only to be met with "well, thats what tarseal does" wonder what shed do if they did happen to fall over?? its not even summer yet, and if its melting now.....
