Didn't find that at all. Just the opposite actually. The handling and road manners pleased me.
What was notable was how much better KYB suspension has become since my Thunderbird.
    Probably a size thing.
Lol. Size does matter! I don't think the parralell twin engine has the weight centered as low as the v-twin myself...same as the other geezers at work that rode it found. But you're such a tall/big fuck they're all easy to hoist up! Once on the road it was fine. Just getting it off the side stand took way more effort than a big twin I reckon.

The XR1000, hard to find a picture of a stock one because they were so damn ugly. HD just doesn't want to capitalise on the most winning bike in the world and make a streettracker. I have a picture of a friends XR1000, and it has stainless right hand low pipes !...???

Looks alright to me. Except for the tank.

    New 500 looks promising.

Yamaha did just that, but didnt stage 2 or 3 it..... Stage 3 about 175nm and 110-115bhp

Guess the simple answer is..... Bring back the XR1200X

THAT was a decent performing bike that I would have owned.
