Sounds sick but it may be worth it if death was a factor .......... look how much the Britten increases in value after he died

It's worth what anyone is prepared to pay I guess. But I'd suggest ones money would be better invested in motorcycledom if a retirement payout is expected.

I once owned a cool Puch moped that we'd made a expansion chamber for - went bloody well. Unfortunately I have yet to become famous so if it still exists it is probably of limited value.

You'd have to be prepared to risk a big loss investing - just look how much I have lost on that Rolf Harris signed didgeridoo shaped dildo I purchased years back. Still in it's original box if anyone is interested ......

Are you suggesting he autographed your dildo while it was still in your box back when you were a young man?

Stupid phone / Tapatalk, apologies in advance.

Would it be worth more if I said yes?

On a side note of no reference at all to the OP, what a shame old Harris is a pedo. Many a memory of his Christmas shows etc

plenty of life left in us so called old cunts yet ...ageing disgracefully
I don't want to sound too depressing, but you (people interesting in buying that motorcycle) might not have as long as you think... 71 is the average age of death for males in NZ, which means there must be people younger than that dying off.

Fuck I'm feeling quite mortal now. My eldest son on my last birthday announced in front of everyone,
"do you realise you'll be eighty in 15 yrs " !!!!!!
    wife was quick tho,and "you'll be 50 " !!
    Still worth a thought,go for a ride !!

You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.
If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..

I wonder if he had anything to do with those "Harris Bonnies" .... I felt that I'd been well and truly screwed very shortly after I got one way back. Might count in a 'historical rogering' case against him.

This is true! Still, long term the best place for this might now be in a museum like Southwards?

get fucked, they have a prewar class at classic races these days so what's to stop it being out there on the track for the next 50 years at least? people may not remember it but they'll soon learn about it and it's place in history.

Because it's a motorcycle and easy to fuck? It's either a play toy to take classic racing, or a piece of history worth preserving; it can't be both.

Anything that is old is easy to fuck, but that said - there is a world of difference between having a smooth ride round a racetrack for a couple of laps and going all Rossi and getting your knee and shoulder down in the corners.

Ultimately it comes down to the person at the controls and whether they are racing to win, or racing to preserve history.

if they are really old and valuable they dont race them, they "parade" them. I'm all for it because a motorcycle is only a motorcyle if it moves under its own power, preferably in anger. Otherwise it may as well not have engine internals (or if it has a fairing, an engine at all) its just another piece of fucking furniture you have to dust.

Cartwheel it at 100mph? Having a refilling accident and set it on fire? Use your imagination...

So? How many of those parts won an IOM TT? Because without that novelty it's hardly worth anything.

No, he can't. He can make you a mighty fine replica I'm sure, but if it hasn't got the heritage, then (compared to what that same money could buy you) all you have is an ugly, slow, out of date piece of crap.
