    Gearing change

My EXC 300 has just come back from the shop with a 13/51 ratio. It went in with a 13/52 combo, that I had used for two years. What difference can I expect at Berm Buster this weekend? I'm thinking slightly quicker at the top end and not quite as much torque through the knarly stuff. Any thoughts?

Yes to what you think, but bugger all difference with just one tooth on the back sprocket.

Not so much as you'd notice if you put new rubber/tires on the old girl.

They're 13 50 stock, and 52 on the back with the torque of a 300 sounds like overkill personally.
I wouldn't think 1 tooth on the back would be that obvious, the jetting changes between taupo and Auckland are probably more likely to be noticeable.
we may just go where no ones been
