Have to admit, I am pretty hooked on the idea of one of those aprilias . . . just got my name written all over it I reckon . . .

A fairly logical progression from the TLR, well, to me anyway

And this one is looking pretty promising . . .

if you were happy with it, and didnt have time and inclination to ride it up (although it would be a cool trip...) I can recommend Cycle Move for shipping.

Thanks Saul - I kinda like it

And HDC - have thought about that, but then I have the cost of an airfare back up anyway (NOT going to hand over that sort of money sight unseen!! Hell no . . .) so between that and paying for the freight (and worrying about damage in transit) I reckon I am better off just hopping on the damn thing and riding it home . . .

Plus, aint that just what everyone wants to do? Get a new bike, and then immediately take it for a good strop round the SI??

Cheers tho, handy info to have!

Oh, it's my blardy wifey's fault.
She saw one on our ride on the weekend, and LURVed it: "You can trade the VFR in on one of those!" Apparently, that's only if it's blue. She'd previously seen a silver one and didn't like it. According to AMPS, the blue ones are by far the most popular colour.
Same thing happened with the VFR. I was all set in 2002 or 2003 to buy a silver VFR, and she vetoed it. But she talked me into buying the current one last year.

I dunno. I think I'd much rather spent a few $K on fettling the current ride, which I've been basically authorised to do. New fork springs, new shock, new tyres, even a sat-nav thingo.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....
