    Fuck I hate scooter riders
I leave my bikes in gear when I walk away from them. Then fuckwits can't move them ... (Most scooters don't have clutches so they don't know enough to pull in the clutch, or how to get them out of gear).

But breaking shit is bad ... I'd break them ...

If you notified them after you had it done, they will. If not, they'll probably cancel your policy for undeclared modifications. You'll be sweet cause the other cunts insurance will pay for it anyway.

... meanwhile, on the other hand, I overbalanced and dropped my VFR very slowly onto my wife's 2-day old Golf Cabriolet, the handlebar creating a smallish but expensive ($1200) dent in it. Thank fuck for my wife being too ill at the time to really care, and an 'onto it' insurance clerk who suggested I claim on my bike insurance. Cost $0, didn't affect my policy, and it's all as good as new now.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

I always leave my bikes in gear when parked on a side stand. When out if I'm leaving my bike for any length of time I put a lock on it as well.

Bit of a update. Star Insurance got in contact today and the guy I spoke to has no issues reordering the fairing kit (Fucken choice) hes going to come over next Wednesday and inspect the rest of the bike.
We asked who was my prefered person to do the work, I said myself and they were strangely OK with it. First time ever dealing with insurance though.

The van driver will be getting chased up by the claims department from what I got told

Pleased to hear the news Reibz, she's far too good looking for you, but deserves a break from fuckwits in vans.
Thankfully you got a name/driver and appear to have a damn good insurance company.
Outstanding paint work, know what it's like to have such beauty fucked with.

Odd. Maybe they will get repair quote and offer you pay out to repair yourself.
I think you used to be able to take settlement as it means they don't need offer any repair warranty or it was near the end of his working day and he had a hot date so said whatever you wanted to hear at the time.
