    Shortland Street Tournament Parking

Hi guys, yes it has probably been a thread before but didn't know where to look so here goes

Parked my bike for the past 12 months in the shortland street Tournament managed carpark on days where it was safe to ride. The other days i used my cage as i was paying for the park on a monthly basis. Then in april my work location changed so gave up the carpark and carpooled for a while or used my bike again depending on the conditions. All that time I parked where initially the parking warden told me to park, never any drama's.

Then out of the blue the other morning a new parking attendant tells me i have to draw a ticket from the machine when entering the park with the intent to pay when exiting of course. Then midday today i get an email from some Tournament person that I need to pay or be issued a "Breach". So @2:30pm i go to my parked bike and they have now given me a "breach" for $65.

I got on my bike and left without paying and not going back again, have formally found another place to park without drama

Question is what is my legal position here? Anyone come across this? No suggestion cause i know what is coming from some of you. Seriously I am not interested in stuffing their pockets.

Talked to Tournament and I was really surprised to get such a welcome reception. With that i mean that I spoke to a lady on the phone, explained the situation and was asked to put it in writing and it would likely be waived in my favour. So a lot has been said about the few parking management companies and their brisk behavior, this has been the opposite. So here is to Tournament.

I wouldn't celebrate anything until it has been waived

    But good on you

so let me get this right,

you get told to take a ticket from the machine,

    you don't do this?,

    then you get a ticket?

OR you get told to take a ticket, you take one AND you still get a ticket? was it a case of not displaying it?
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

    clarification

For 6 months I parked without a ticket

Then was told to pull a ticket and didn't

Then was furnished an infringement notice

    Then complained

    And was waived

    Yeah!!!
