300 notes to get an engine shipped is pretty good, suppose it all depends on how sharp the initial buy price is though.Originally Posted by Waylander
Haha oops should have mentiond that was USD. Still not bad but it's more than I can afford right now. Payed $150USD for the engine.Originally Posted by Brains

Ebay is still a good source for parts... fwiw this seller above sells Carrillo's by the truck load so is worth watching ..The rods in the above link should be here by early next week.
Swingarm, wheels and rotors, forks, goldvalves and springs, new Ohlin's,62mm SP2 Throttlebodies etc etc are all off Ebay..i buy almost solely out of the U.S now...its also a great source for Titanium sheet/tube and solid bar for making custom parts.

not that i'm picky.
I got my Yoshi off Ebay and they were nice enough to change the customs declaration so I didn't have to pay Duty....![]()

Since none of my bikes are newer than 27 years old, the only way to get parts for them is off eBay, so I use it all the time. Even bought a bike ('75 H1 500). Like it has been mentioned, don't buy off anybody with low or dodgy feedback, same as TradeMe. Send a message to seller asking "Will you send to NZ, and how much to ship item using USPS Global" (their postal system).
Finally it depends both on weight and size of the packaging how much you will pay. I haven't had a bad experience yet although I have been waiting 2 months now for a rear brake lever for my F11....
I also get Kawasaki H2..Ducati Beveldrive and Pre 1970 Husqvarna parts off Ebay...just in today,a set of brand new TL1000 Carrillo's for NZ$375 to the door and a NOS M/C cap for an H2,no complaint's hereOriginally Posted by Froth

hey man-
www.usps.com a decent way to go. I have bought quite a bit from the US and sent via USPS- all within reasonable time and decent cost. Most will ship via USPS and can get it insured.![]()
