Sup man, welcome to the site, ya prolly gonna get a lot of shit for getting a 600cc for ya first bike but thats just the way it goes round here, as long as ya got a good head on ya shoulders ya should be alright, but there are pleanty of guys n gals on here that'll give ya good advice, like if ya gonna buy the quick bike, make damn sure you buy the good gear (leather) to go with it, if ya need a hand in deciding what gear n shit to buy, give me a yell and i'll lend a hand, theirs mostly a ride or two going each weekend, get out and about on these, you will pick up vaulabe tips and learn a lot more faster with a group, plus meet some cool cats on the way.

Honda CBR6000's are all shit dont buy one, get say a GSXR600, much better, nah the CBR's all good, whatever floats ya boat mate.

    Catch ya

Hey mate, welcome to KB. So do you or don't you have a licence? If you do have your full, I don't see why a 600 is a bad thing. Don't get a GSXR though, they are becoming, "common" shall we say.

Anyhoo, welcome to the site and learn heaps

As Loosebruce said - you'll cop some flak for going straight to a 6. Some people are very much holier than thou on this site. Personally I'm not one of them - so welcome to the site I do have to say though, stepping straight onto a 6 of any description is a big call, take care.

CBR very pretty, especially in black. Out for a ride with a Repsol thou yesterday, very very pretty - especially the arse end as it disappeared...

Hey mate welcome.................i bought a 600 straight away before i even had my learners and its not toooo bad just make sure you take it easy for a couple of weeks at least until you know the bike and even then dont go above your limit. I've had a couple of bins on mine but hey you can only learn from your mistakes.
Good luck and the CBR is a good choice of bike mate stay clear of those dirty Gixxer's

Is that the arse end of the bike or Deano's arse?

I think the CBR6 gets let down massivly by the shit colour schemes, still reckon the 03 black one with the silver wing on the side is the bizzo.

welcome to the site mate. nothin wrong with starting on a 600, as long as you have a good head and are willing to learn before the right wrist gets too twitchy. Good luck

I only bothered to get a license cos the guy I was buying the bike off knew me, knew my attitude, and refused to let me buy it until I had at least a learners - that was only an FZR400. But it turned out to the best thing I ever did, cos it forced me to do the basic handling, which then introduced me to the idea of the CBTA. It taught me lots of useful little things as well as accelerating the license phase so I was legal within prob 3-4 months of getting on a bike.

Didn't teach me common sense, but that's a whole 'nother ballgame!!

    Or die quick.
But hey, what the hell, if it's quick it won't hurt. Right?
