    Molesworth ride report and pics

Awseme riding through the molesworth...arrived hanmer Fri afternoon and went to Edwards pass track after phoning roc and getting permission. I have a new respect for newzealand weather as I was about 8kms into the pass the weather came in behind me and within ten minutes it was snowing, raining and hail stones until the bridge..visibility to a few hundred yards....on my return it was almost blue skies.
Next day Carl and josh arrived and we went through at an easy pace with picture perfect weather. After leaving them in Blenheim as they were on their way to a hut in the nelson lakes area I headed back again through the Molesworth for a well earned beer....another great ride...

    Nice stuff....
Sometimes when the weather is bad, the riding and the fun is increased as a result providing of course you are dressed accordingly aye...
Plus the beer, soup or whatever tastes better and the camp-fire stories are well remembered...

I know what you mean Pom. I went thru in early Jan - left the bach in Port underwood early beaut morning etc, high cloud over the inland Kaikouras as I hit the molesworth gate - Froze my fricking arse off most of the way there - arrived at Hanmer to see the hoidayers all with puffer jackets on, rode back thru the Rainbow into fricking rain at the St Arnaud end - then heading down into the Marlborough plains the temp was about 30deg.
Got to the bach & it had been a beaut hot day there

Alpine environments aye - can't take anything for granted.

    Good pics!
