ok the RMX250 are a pain in the ass for pipes,

you have an RMX250S, which is the Aussie model which also came here, they are nothing like the same year US Model (which also came here)
you can modify a 96 RM250 Pipe can be modified to fit, its not to hard and anyone resonable on a welder can do it,
a 95 pipe will not fit, you need to use the 96 model

it will fit with mods, slight mods is a bit of an understatement, we used to fit them with pro circuit mufflers as well so you might need to modify the muffler if you plan on using the std muffler.

i have just been through this headache with my 98RMX
but all sorted now and it goes great!
just have an iffy power valve seems to be a bit tempromental

anyways, yip above posts are correct, i found a 96 RM250 pro circuit pipe and it fitted with slight mods just held it on bike and bent it in a few places and it fits sweet. oh i drilled a hole in the bottom bracket and reversed the std mount
im using a pro circuit muffler also which from memroy was a couple of centimetres shorter than the std one so this will make a difference to the way u will need to bend it

well worth it too, got 41 and a half horsepower atw without jetting it too!!
goes great! drags off anything that gets in its way!

    good luck mate!

    98 rmx rm 96 pipe

was in abit of a hurry because of my stuff up ordering the US rmx pipe sent it back a costly mistake (postage)couldnt get a procircuit quickly from bike bandits so hopeful the fatty will do i have read they don't fit as well as procircuits even on the correct bike so will be interesting how it mods for the rmx hopefully it wont make it to peaky the gnarly wasnt as easy to get hold of.bike bandits gave me a 20% discount sweet as.the 96 to 98 fatty for the rm250 is the same part num.

sucks eh dude, my first bike was a 91 kx125, spent abt $800 on pro circuit pipes from the states, went to fit them and discovered i had a 125 motor in a 250 frame, a bitsa as they say, nearly burnt the fucker right there and then!

aussie rmx seem to be rmx engine in rm frame probably better than the US models anyway the mufflers are ali (lite)and straight through design.

the fatty fitted just pushed it on missed out one bracket factory muffler matched up too i assume the shorty (rm)muffler will just bolt on also, might grab one as the xpan chamber gives it a great sound the bike ran rich just off idle and light load conditions so i leaned off the primary circuit.

Hey there, I am about to do the same thing to my 98 rmx250s. Am very glad I decided to do a quick online check before ordering from the states! Just to clarify, I need a 96 rm250 expansion chamber, and the silencer from an rm250 too? Or is the silencer the rmx one? Cheers
