    Kawasaki Z Owners' Club NZ?

    Hi everybody !
Just joined KB and found the classics section immediately !
Would like to hear from owners and riders of Kawasaki Z Models from 1973 to 1980 who might be interested to set up a Z-Owners Club here in New Zealand.
Would be great if the few of us with the love and passion for the best motorcycles ever could get together !
Let the good times roll !

Nice Idea but I think we're too spread out over the country. I'm a member of the z1ownersclub.co.uk which answers all my questions etc. Here's a couple of my posts, first my bike then a Z1000 not 100 kms from where I sit.

There are a few classic Zed's in Christchurch and I know of an un-ridden mint '73 Jaffa in Oamaru. Then there's the guy who saw a '73 Jaffa on the side of the road at Reefton with a sign on it about two years ago. "For sale, $4500" 44,000 miles and stock standard, what a lucky basterd who bought that puppy.

Good luck, let's see yer ride.

You would have to put a 1 in front of it for a nice orignal big like that. A kwaka Zed would be something to tempt me to a 4 stroke,
    Really easily too,
I would just get one as well as my fleet of Yam 2 stokes

LOL!!! He's on KB and owns a garage in Whangaparaoa - Hibiscus Coast Service Centre - 09-424 0477. (He is a fan of Nissan's, though). His login comes from owning the Z1300...

Ratti, you're too young to be a cougar, but your Z (why do you call the bike "my boy", bikes are allways and forever girls !) for sure is an up and coming classic, but not yet, sorry!
    Classic Z's in that sense has to be pre 1980, from Z1, Z900, Z1000 over Z650 to Z1300 !
If you wanna cheat you can fit that ducktail onto your rear end (the bike's I mean) and she'll look allmost like a real classic Z1000 !
Gotta find some people first who are into it, then we can really talk business.
Looks like we should be all gathering one of these days for a ride with BFTP, then we might see how many old Quaks are around !

30 years for a bike to be a classic? Dont know where the ducktail came from, it arrived with the bike, looks bloody awful but havent got around to taking it off yet.

Your bikes can be girls, MY bikes are boys..maybe we could breed them and have kwaklets? Lots of baby kwakas zipping around, that would be cute.

ps Im not to young to be a cougar, Im 45, plenty old enough if you follow the cougar rule of at least a 15 year age gap, that means anything undr 30 is fair game! But that is another thread.... For women of a 'certain age'

    What a kwakup!

I passed a Kwaklet tonight on my way home. Wee Ninja 250, rider hunkered down, flat on the guages, throttle wound hard open! I gave him the thumbs up as I cruised by at just over the 110 mark...
