Nothing is too hard to solve.

I have just made up a light prototype wooden frame (dowelling) that fits to my scooter to secure the tent and bedroll to. This will allow me to lift the seat when re-fuelling without removing luggage. It looks good and if it works okay, I will make a aluminium version.
