    Almost out of my cast

I hope to be out of the cast I got on my fractured right ankle. I was riding to work and a car cut across my path. I hit it and went over. I landed on my right foot, causing a spiral fracture, just above the ankle.

I shoulxd be out of this next week and into a moon boot. Once I am out of that I will start looking at a replacement bike as the SR250 is probably a write off.

Judging by the crash sounded, you'd be right about the bike being a write off. Spiral fracture must hurt like a bitch! Did they have to operate?

All the best with looking for a replacement. Remember your ankle will be sore and have not a lot of movement/strength to hold a bike up, so either be super confident in always getting the left leg down, or have a break from bikes til your ankle feels good again.

Great that you're keen to get back riding mate. I guess you'll know when you're physically up to it. Definitely no point riding though if you're preoccupied with pain and paying less attention to the road.

    Almost out of the moonboot.

I got my moonboot on Dec 8 and should be out of it on Jan 19. I can move around OK out of it at home.

Started a back to work program the week and a half before Christmas doing four hours a day and six hours the week of Jan 12 then back to the full 8 hours.

Once I am out of the boot I will be lookinmg for a bike. Might have access to one from one of the guys at work but I will have to check with him when I get back to work.

Long road to recovery. Hopefully all goes well and you get a shiny bike for cheap
