Did he even use his front brake at all?
All I will say is.....
classic example of why I say, DONT lane split above 50kph... and DONT travel at more than 20kph above traffic speed.
Both riders were complete knobheads for the speed they were doing.
Cager was somewhat at fault, HOWEVER... the speed those two twats were coming up behind him?? I doubt he'd have seen them.

Somewhat at fault? You're having a laugh.
Perhaps his indicator had blown a bulb just that morning? That is the only 'fault' that I can see on the part of someone minding their own business before getting their day ruined by a totally unobservant twat. The car was moving in to a massive gap when vehicles all around were on the brakes. Fairly typical scenario. The rider himself has reduced the odds with the speed differential.
He was asking for it, he got it.
Having a laugh??
Ok, maybe the indicator bulb HAD blown?? {looks like LED lights fitted} there was no 3 seconds of indicating as per requirement! Also, if you watch carefully the driver was doing the classic 'Hutt motorway 'DIVE' maneuver, traffic was/had stopped, oh look a gap, or, the other lane is still moving, DIVE across the lane.. My guess is THAT is why there was no indicator. The 'somewhat' doesnt mean it's HIS fault, but contributory.
I did say "going too fast" about the riders and they were BOTH knobheadss!
