The Bros is dead - but there's a new beast in the gargre

    Well, nearly.....

The Bros was taken away by a wrecker this morning, and I've just concluded a deal on a sexy new beastie to fit in the gargre.....

Picking it up later on this week, when he gets my cheque cleared......

What ever it is, you gonna name it "Becks"?

Posh riding Becks? Anyone? Anyone? No? Ah well, even I have to admit that was pretty lame . . .

Congrats on the new steed however, show us some pics or at least let us know what it is . . .

    heh heh....

Well, I've been away in Ayr for a few days, so I havent had the chance to get on here. I'm off to pick the bike up this afternoon, riding it back from Cambridge.

It will very soon be joining the gargre (or in my case, the washing-line-pole-plus-motorcycle covre - does that work right?)...

    And it is...................................

An immaculate (never been ridden in the wet kinda thing) 1981 R100S....

Only 37,000 miles, stored since 96, and in brilliant condition....

What is more, it was only £1700!!

Oh and TS? I've only killed the Bros so far, what are you trying to say??

I dont think I'll call it becks, bit of a gay name for such a bike.......

Pics will come when I've got some, in the meantime, here's the ad

Brilliant mate! Dad used to have a R100S. Fantastic bikes except they vibrate a bit too much for me. Hope all in well in the land of Kings and Queens.

    Nice one Marty.
So, its "Europe here we come" time yet?

Not quite yet, I've been offered some work over the winter which I would like to take up, so I'll be staying in Norwich and riding the XJ over the winter while it is salty etc. It is kinda rare to get offered work over the winter, so I'm gonna go for it, and head Europe way in early spring...

Rode it home yesterday, BADLY out of balance but it did 60-ish happily for the hour home. I've balanced it this morning, but the tappets need doing, and two new tyres (not 10 yr old ones) would probably help.

Very nice though. Instant power, in a broad spread... All good
