Good shit. On my next bike list purely to play with and modify (and slow down) so the review is most excellent.

    Yep Pretty much spot on!!
Been around for ages this one tis a good one

My engine bracket is black not green and havent had the fueling issues he states. But it's the next thing I'm going to play with.
Other than that change the shit he mentions and its a damn good no fuss bike that you can toss into a series of corners quite well to most others surprise
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

That's a great review, I never quite figured what he thought of the green engine bracket though........

I liked mine and did a few things to it but after a year gave in to lure of more ponies plus mine was rusting even though dry ridden and garaged.
Mossy review would read needs to not be your only bike.

They need about another 20 HP....but wait you can buy all that as extra, like a Harley.

I used my Thruxton on a few track days, sold it as finished my BMW 900 which is faster and handles better

I got excited years back when they announced the Thruxton as I presumed it would have 80 + HP hot rod version of the stock Bonnie engine in it. Alas not.

I am still surprised they don't have a 'hot' version from the factory.

The stock suspension is like riding a 70's bike.
    I swapped a Ducati 900ssie for a Thruxton.
A mere 3 years later back on a 900ss, carbed version

Airbox and muffler mods release 12 -14 RWHP. Shit the stock system must be strangled. They really are old school where a fiddle releases real gains.

Mine was the 865 last of the carby version.
Plug of removed eco friendly poo.
    Carby replaced and K&N.
    Mufflers replaced.

Very noticeable power increase but hard to tell if 12-15 extra. That's a huge percentage increase.
