I wanted a bike when I was about your age but my mother said they were too dangerous and I wasn't allowed one. It took me more than 20 years before I got a bike of my own - I hope you get one a long time before that! I suppose it helps in your case that you have at least one parent who is into bikes - so good luck with the pestering!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

G'day mate and welcome to the site. Have fun and I bet you will learn heaps here
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

Ha! That's true! So your the one who had the snapped acceleration disc? Ah, good story, I'll leave it to dad though. Anyway it's good to be on the forums, my father is the motor-cycle addict. And my Mother is the paranoid parent who thinks always of what can go wrong. But all will hopefully turn out great. Now the first thing I need help with is the road-code. Anyone got the link?

Hi Reubix - welcome to the KB gargre. Nice to meet you (and your Dad) on Saturday. Did you like the Paekak Hill road?

Good luck with the bike purchase. Life is short, you have to do what puts a smile on your face.

But the real disasters in life begin when you get what you want.

Well, it was only in the Jaguar, but still fun! Can't wait until I can do it on my own. It was an awesome road, Dad told me that it was a popular place for riders. HE WAS RIGHT! Thanks for the link to the road-code. I'll start revising!

Saw an interesting program on wednesday night. Called 'The long way around'. It;'s about two bikers set on an adventure to go around the planet on Motorcycles. May have to catch it again!

Thankyou very much for the warm welcome. Hope to see some of you guys on the road at some point! Shouldn't we have little stickers to put on our bikes or something? Easier to recognize one another!
