    Stadia. Wires. Coro tracks.

Read a bit about Stadia/Neavesville and Wires track in some archived threads and 4x4 forums... All years old. So wondering what the deal is with these now days. From what I gather Wires is easy enough to access (phone to see if open), but is the Stadia track now closed without permission, hard to get permission? Like you basicly need to be in a 4x4 club?

I'm going to be based in Matarangi for a week end of January and keen to explore what I can in that time. Also have a week from Newyears to scout from Hamilton.

Hopefully someone will be keen for a look at the same time, as I realise these tracks are not for the faint hearted and not such a good idea solo.

If I am solo I'll be very cautious not to get to deep I can't get out... Just a wee look around on the passable stuff, which may not be alot with my skill and bike.

Any information on these tracks and others to explore in the Coromandel would be appreciated

I have Topo maps of the area that show some of the tracks but if anybody has maps, gps routes etc I'd love to see them. If it's a secret spot please pm me and I'll send you all the internet chocky fish you can handle.

OBF I took my WRR Whangapoua in 2009 so one day did the there & back route to Stony Bay & Fletcher Bay - you can't link them. Also did Castle Rock Rd to 309 Rd. There is a maze of forestry roads between Opitonui Rd to Old Coach Rd & Whitianga.

I've done Wires but not on the WRR. But possible when dry if you stick to the main track and turn around at the river/stream crossing.
