Shorts and singlet clad motorcyclists leads cops on a police chase

They went past our house couple of times. Went out to see what was going on and there were few cars chasing this idiot. They went around the block 3-4 times then he pulled the pin and fucked off. So really the headline should read. "Shorts and singlet clad motorcyclists evades police chase". He would have had a good 500 meters on them most of the time too. Yet it still took them 5 or so minutes before they decided to call it off. By that stage he was nowhere to be seen.

Presume he was speeding, as he was wearing a helmet he was meeting the letter of the law.

Silly bugger tho. I picked a thongs/shorts/singlet/no gloves rider up from the road where he'd come off on a roundabout (diesel spill) and took him to hospital - there was a lot of skin surface missing and a couple of areas where the white structure underneath was visible - he was not a happy boy.

And if he crashed and didn't die our ACC levies would be paying for him.

Aha. But did he? Sounds like the answer is no.

To be honest I don't even know why his clothing gets a mention, is it relevant? We should be concerned about people crashing, not what someone is wearing who doesn't crash. There will always be someone who thinks you don't wear enough gear or the proper gear even if you think you are dressed for the occasion. I will say it again for the 548th time, the natural conclusion for all those who whinge about what other riders are wearing is to get a metal cage around you and four wheels underneath you otherwise it is just BS.

He can have an alcoholic one if he's a rugby player, there's different rules for them
