    Hoko Road?

Hoko road runs from the Te Waerenga rd to Okere Falls. Is this a public road, or a private forestry road? Thanks.

It looks like a dead end mate but...
As a suggestion, get off your bike and ask one of the locals. Sometimes saying hello and breaking the ice is a great way to get information. Take you helmet off, less intimidating too
A few years ago we all got into a bit of strife riding a beach that was private. The Nice Maori fella armed with the machete said all we had to do was ask at one of the houses and we would have been granted permission.
Clint might have more information, it is his local stomping ground.

It's a paper rd but I don't think there's a track right through on the surveyed line & I have heard that the adjacent landowners actively block access.

Its greyed out on google maps so that's usually an indicator too.
Hey Clint do you know about riding up the river bed to Tarndale slip site???? Stopped there other day and didn't realise could have gotten there from that crossing.

Thanks for the replies. Will give that route a miss for now.

Street view ends at a gate and a mail box.

    Also a good indicator ...

It never hurts to ask (local landowners on the road) though ...
