I always thought the huhu grub was the pupae of the weta. The maori ate them, they apparently taste somewhat like peanuts but I have no desire to confirm that.

Trout love them too but it isn't always legal to use them, might depend where you live.. Thus used it might fairly be called Kakahi King

Probably due to Hydrocephalus not brian size.
