TM40 carb + Scottoiler, where to connect vacuum line?

Has anyone done this and can they tell me how I get my vacuum connection?
I have searched and found that is it easy, just use the vacuum line to the petcock - except that my Acerbis tank is using non-vacuum petcocks and there is no vacuum line to be seen.

There is probably one or more simple solutions, anyone here know of one?

Just connect it into where the vacuum line off your tank used to be connected to the carburetor ... the engine running starts the flow.

Ah, but where would that be?
The original tank would have had a vacuum line that went to the original carb, but neither of those original parts are on the bike.
The previous owner changed the carb & tank and lots of other stuff, hence my uncertainty here.

I'm not even sure if the TM40 Pumper carb has a vacuum port.
I know there are ways around this including getting hold of the Scottoiler Universal Spigot Assembly and fitting it to the rubber inlet manifold, but it would be much easier if someone knows of a screw I can remove to access a vacuum I can put a standard spigot into.

The TM40 has a vacumn port available near the top on RHS from memory. It's Prob blanked off with rubber plug. Google and u will Prob find instruction online.
Ill double chek mine for you when I lock up man cave later.

Sorry forgot to log back in last night.

On the RHS (eg clutch side of engine) there is a port available to use as a vacumn on the inlet tract (really outlet I suppose) of the carb where it mounts on to the engine rubber hoodaki boot.
Its basically the only 'hole' in the carb that's closest to the engine.

Hmmm, this may not be a TM40.
The seller told me it was a 40mm pumper carb but it has Keihin written on it.
I think that means it is a 39 or 41mm carb.
From what I understand the TM40 is a Mikuni carb.

I am taking the bike in to the motorbike shop on Tuesday for a new rear tyre so I might get them to take a look at it.
If there is no vacuum connection then I might get a hole drilled and tapped for either my 5mm or 6mm spigot to be screwed in.

Guy at local motorcycle shop said "no problem, I could drill & tap right there", so it got done today and cost me less than fifty bucks. Scottoiler up & running!

I've also got my Trail Tech Vapor dash all set up & working.

Now I just have to plan some rides!
