Unconfirmed reports that someone has stollen a small plane from Ardmore and is threatening to crash it into the Sky tower.

Police are on alert after a light aircraft is reported to have been taken unlawfully from Ardmore Air Field.

The aircraft has been spotted flying dangerously low over Auckland and close to the Sky Tower.

Apparently a light plane has just crashed at some beach in Auckland. Can't be a very good shot.

Panic over. The creme de la creme dining at the top of the Sky Tower can breathe easy and go back to discussing the relative merits of Krug and Bollie. The plane has crash landed off St Heliers.
