    Suzuki LS650 Boulevard bobber

    How ya going all,

Im a newbie to this site and your world, so take it easy on a chap if i dont get the terminology and acronyms right.
Just bought myself a 08 Suzuki LS650 Boulevard S40 it has already been bobbed out a bit.
I am new to this whole scene, so became a member on here for some advise and tips. I'll be doing all the work on the bike myself, well as much as possible.
So any people, particular ways of doing things or shops you know that will be helpful please comment below.

Whats the next mod should I do?

    Changing exhaust
    Paint fenders/ trim
Changing Wheels/ White walls, painting rims
    Changing lights/ indicators
Just change the whole bike up and make look more clean and bobbed out.

Aren't mudguards a requirement in NZ? Try using tight hugging guards, painted matt black to disguise them.

Depending on how you want it to look, you could look at integrates indicators/brake lights, or use LED strips that can be hidden easily when not illuminated.

You only need one mirror, bar end mirror wouldn't ruin the looks of the bike. Or a mirror stalk could go from the handlebars down so the mirror looks under your arms (looks quite good on higher handlebar bikes).

To clean up the lines of the bike, try routing the cables and wires through or tight to the frame where possible.

Don't ruin the ride position for looks, no point having a nice bike that you don't want to ride anymore.

    Cheers guys,
The bike gets dropped of on Wed morning, so il take some better pics, then of to GC for Chrissy and NYE. So will start working on it once I get back.
Im going to start with the small things headlights, handlebars which ive just purchased these "Pro Taper Universal Fat Bar Mounts 1 1/8" from trademe, dont like the handle bars up in the air.
I really need to clean the back up Taillight, hidden indicatiors front and back (are they any good and noticed once on?) and how is the wiring, is quite straight forward to reposition?
The number plate is it a big problem to have them light below:

Once you have it in your shed, then you can see what is possible to do,and what isn't. If you're changing bars, the cables will be longer and look a bit untidier, so you might need to get shorter throttle/clutch cables. But you won't know for sure til you have the bike.

Need to sort this backside out of the bike, not a fan of the look and the way its setup.
Thinking replacing the number plate on the side on a 45degree angle, not sure whats the restrictions on that.
Looking into LED hidden indcators and moving the the taillight to be attached to the seat.
    Let me know ur thougths.

    my s83/1400

this is the approach I took with my back end. LED stop/run light just above the number plate, moved indicators.

Nice one bud, that's what I'm looking to do to mine but need to get struts to hold rear fender before I dismantle anything. How did u mount everything, do u have a build thread I can take a look at? Cheers

Man that looks ag. Have a look on aliexpress and dhgate for some tail lights or tail light units. There are one or two local websites too which will get them to your door way quicker.
I think you could make those indicators suit the bike but that brake light is way too big to put anywhere tidily with a back end that minimal, well in my opinion.

Personally I'd be gunning for something bolting directly to that fender, but you could work something nicer out with the bar that is on there. Practicality wise it would make getting luggage on the bike easier if you leave it there.

Headlight on the front looks tiny.

Heres a link to some better pictures I put elsewhere.
Make your fender struts - mine were plain steel strap that I bend, drilled and painted. Cost $10 + a spray can.
The tricky bit is the mount at the swingarm to mount the fender, rather than the struts. Can give more info if yu need it.

the link takes you to an Intruder forum that is excellent for help. They've got a shitty search engine, but google 'intruder alert XXX' and you'll find heaps of info on your bike.

Yea sorted a taillight/ indicators and license plate mount. Going to take the contraption off the back and bolt tailight/number plate to fender, and got some brackets made up to bolt underneath seat for indicators.

I went ahead and painted triples and headlight black. got to take front tubes out to sand back and paint. will try this weekend. Also Changed up the front indicators to LED.

    Thoughts?
Wanting to go for the black and Gun metal grey colour scheme. Opinions?
