The Z800 is a massive improvement over the previous Z750R and a LOT lighter. It's the pick of this runty litter of budget 4 cylinder 750-800s if you ask me.
The media have pulled the GSX1000s's appearance to bits, noting things like engine covers that are different shapes to the K5, hinting at things like it not having a slipper clutch and so on. We won't know until we see one. If they simply leave the torque curve alone and knock 20hp off a K5 I'd be VERY happy, thank you. The GSR750 isn't as bad as you make it out, it just isn't special when compared to a Street Triple for instance. But it is cheaper. The FZ-8 had the potential to be great, but that muffler! That rear shock! That price!
