Great cruising weather the past few days

Quite a bit of holiday traffic on the Manawatu-Wellington and Wanganui-Turangi runs; and quite a few police waiting en route for some reckless scofflaw to do 101km/hr and instantly create massive carnage thereby... but the last three days have been great riding despite these speedbumps on the Cruise of Life. Gotta appreciate the times when weather, power, road and ride make for memorable days.

Hope you found a cold one...

Had another great ride this morning on the US V8, 235 miles (old fashioned speedo) WangaVegas to Raetihi, up over the saddle then to P Nth via Bulls and Foxton, a couple of side trips before home.

Bought the 883 in November, from Blenheim to Christchurch, Chch to Alex and since then have ridden, Queenstown-Cardrona-Wanaka, Queenstown-Te Anau-Gore, Down to Bluff, Dunners-Balclutha and several trips to Chch via various routes, over 5000kms.
Getting used to riding over road works
Have been lucky with the weather too, only having to put on the wets 2x's
Really enjoying the new ride and gaining more confidence each ride.... just got to get those "u turns" under control

U-turns can be accomplished by going "round-the-block"...

even if that means via a trip of many kms

"That took you a wee while, Darling"

"Yes, I had to go round the block!"

Had a great ride this morning. Gisborne to Hicks bay and return all before lunch.

The ride back was a lot better because we were not being cut up by the same power ranger on a R1 again and again.

    U turns.......?

    who needs U turns....?

    Thought ladies were never wrong....?
Or at least never publicly admit to it.....?

So just make sure you always have enough petrol in that tank,
    and just keep going........
Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....
