the Wairamarama ride was brilliant... enough rain to dampen the dust but not enough to form mud

I thought the track was well marked out, good family loop (rode a couple of laps with a mates son) and nice food available

I will chuck some pics up when I get a chance,

I was a little ride unfit and the first lap of the main loop I thought I must have forgotten how to ride, lap 2 was good, 3 (after the family loops) I was starting to fade.... going to feel some muscles in the morning

Dirt is OK, but mate I missed ya company today, was heading to Paeroa, from Pukekohe where I was watching daughter # 2 riding a one horse power unit at the AMP Show.
Then meet up with the gastronome and went to the Patumahoe Butchers cafe, awesome food and good company, leaves the Paddy iichen for dead mate.
You gunna be good for this Thursday???

Manage to catch any Australian gold brested cockatoos? Good money for them suckers. Did a heap of fencing on farms down there when I left school and I had an ag175, used to go fanging around on my days off. Awesome country.
The roads out towards the coast or back towards port waikato are mint once you leave the seal on the Wairamarama Onewhero rd.

Starter didn't arrive....and I am glad as I would have done an earlier trip to Paeroa with Michael......... for no racing, 110K's on dirt was fun.. mostly some of the rough ground had me thinking I should have borrowed my brothers bike ..... smooth as silk on rough ground compared to my bike

Well with my starter not arriving for the cruiser that stopped any thoughts of going to Paeroa..... probably a good thing being the racing was canned so I hit the dirt instead, and a good ride it was, the day started pretty wet but it soon stopped raining and after some gentle riding it soon dried out (A bit slippery on the wet grass for a bit)

    Here is the pic report

Not so bad on the ride, one lap was a little slippery on the grass but not bad if you were easy on the throttle, sweet as after that

The very last time I rode my bike was this event last year, since then it has been sitting in the corner of the work shop at work, and only started a couple of time in that time.
I do like this ride, but been a while since Ive done a trail ride, plus unfit and over weight, Oh hang on Ive always been unfit and over weight
    Will think about it.
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

the Wairamarama ride was my first dirt ride for about 10 months (other than short paddock rides with my daughter) and I felt it the next day ... but all good now

At this stage the weather looks good, the rain is further north
