    Waikaretu fun ride

    This Sunday

    http://www.mrmotorcycles.co.nz/trail-rides.aspx

Just a reminder, Parking at the Hall, this is a single loop ride so no arriving late for this one, bring a packed lunch and some fuel to load on the lunch truck (unless you are sure you can do 80K on a tank)

Some great views on this one, my Daughter thinks 80K is to much for her skills (not been riding long) so will have space on the trailer from Tuakau for two if you are stuck getting bikes out (IE the great guys I parked beside, sorry cant remember your names)

The weather is looking good, mind you a little rain to dampen the dust would be a good thing but it looks like they missed most of the rain lately

This looks awesome, what sort of skill level do you think is required? Be suitable for a newbie who has only been riding off road for a month?

What is your fitness like? There are a couple of sand hills, mostly pretty easy going, people will help if you get stuck

I'll be loading my bike up soon, just got back from 80K road ride with my Daughter... her longest ride yet and I like how she has picked up her riding skills on the corners after putting dirt bike bars on the GN

She wont be riding dirt tomorrow though.... Next one?

awesome ride, all be it at a slow pace for me, as I haven't ridden off road since this ride last year. Still a bit stiff at the mo.

Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

good to see your bike ran this time, and you were not subjected to a crazy motorcycle dealer on a Teryx,

Ha ha I remember that was fun, still turned out a good day, got to ride variety of bikes that day all be it at the expense of their riders injuring themselves.
Since Ive owned the WR 5years now, it has done this ride every year without fail. Just a faulty spark plug was all that stopped the RMZ that day was gutted, never got to do the beach ride with that bike because some asshole stole it.
