I took the rc390 out for a ride today. Was suitably impressed. I've owned the sxf 250 and 350 and I really noticed the similarities between the two. Compared to the Duke the front end felt a bit more planted and with the shorter wheelbase and higher ground clearance it flicked into the the corners really nicely. Power wise I didn't notice a huge difference but on paper the rc is taller geared so a little slower off the line with more top end.

    For $9k I'd think about it....seriously

Read so many good reviews on. Ninja300 and suitability for beginners as well as a good bike to keep for a while. But as mentioned the fairing can be something to be aware in case of dropping it.

If MT0-7 was below $10k I would have gone for it.

I saw Duke 390 in the Hutt, sat on it and felt not comfortable at all. Might still take it for a ride .And it would take me long till the look of it grows on me

This is aimed at trying to talk you into reconsidering the 07

I had my eye on an ex-demo MT-03. I rode it, liked it, then the bloke at the dealership put me on the 07.

They had only just finished assembling their demo 07 and I put the first 30kms on it. 2 weeks later I had one in my garage.

For me, the 03 was too upright, the handle bars were too far apart and the vibrations were horrendous. The 07 felt so much more refined and smooth as anything.

With regards to the ER6N, this technology is getting on a bit. 2006 they came out with this.

Not really sure on the other bikes mentioned... The XJ6 also has had great reviews but the 07 is about the same price and I believe it is the XJ's predecessor (correct me if I'm wrong).
The MT-07 is certainly an awesome bike and the way it handles and has torque right through the gears is impressive. It still puts a smile on my face.
However, there is a few mods which are a must:
    -Tail tidy
-Exhaust (I've got a yoshi coming from Canada)
-And if you like the ability to walk after two hours in the saddle... The addition of a comfort seat (I've got a comfort version coming from the States)

I'll hopefully get my full in the next few months, then wish to test ride an MT-09. If I like it as much as the 07, I may be up for an upgrade and have even more torquey goodness underneath me haha
