If this works for you then more power to ya. All I'm really saying is that because some people don't seem to be able to concentrate on their driving (with or without a phone) it doesn't mean that we're all like that. Treat driving with the respect it deserves and almost nothing will distract you from the task at hand.

Stops texts arriving. When you are ready to get texts again text drive off to the same number. Not sure but I think it forward calls to voicemail on first try ( advises users you are driving if it is urgent they can call back to be forwarded to you).

Not very hairy chested biker I know. I also know less than a third of my kms are in a car.

These days my only time in a car is when transporting my kids. Rest of the time is on the bike.

I have my phone sound turned off when driving. My advanced driving courses never mentioned driving while yaking on the cell phone.

What the fuck's with people driving manual cars. There should be a law against needing to grope around down in the centre console somewhere fucking about with levers while driving a car.
That shit has to be far more dangerous than yarning on the phone.

How many new drivers can drive a manual? Thing of the past.

    Different parts of the brain.
Subconscious takes care of repetitive same travel movements. Holding a cellphone is different as the range of motion is not limited to specific actions and accesses the conscious.

This has to be a troll????

Us old timers started driving when automatic cars were very new and not very common. As far as I'm concerned if you have no experience of driving a manual then you have no basis on which to comment.

Ever heard of a sport shift? That's just a manual gear change with an automatic clutch.

Once the phone is by ear there is no motion involved at all. Unless you're talking about texting? That's a different kettle of fish altogether.

Dip switches are by the steering wheel these days. The floor ones died years ago. Does your Marina have one?
