What a great sight![]()

Now that sounds like a great weekend!
They are quite a capable bike for 40 years old, it was observed that all the bikes indicators worked
Gearbox and clutch are a bit of a chore if you decide to go sightseeing in Hamilton
I recommend replacing 40 year old spark plug leads if riding in the rain too.![]()
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.
I have always wanted one of those, and I've come close to owning one twice.
The last time I got a tip about a guy in Nelson with one and I called him sayig I would have it at his price if he could just email me a coupla pics.
Turns out that this hippie idjut didn't have a digital camera so he said he'd take it to the local dealer and get him to do a pic.
The dealer cut my fuckin' lunch...musta offered more, but I never got a chance to counter offer.
The aforementioned Hippie Idjut was very apologetic...cahnt!
Since then, every one that comes up for sale is priced at moonbeams.
My one came in from the States (ex Florida) in 1989 with the Lester Mags on it. In the 70's and 80's the yanks went mad on them. They are date stamped April 1977 and October 1977 so it wouldn't have been very old when they were put on, it's a May 1976 bike. Loads of stateside bikes had them and Yamaha (RD400) and Kawasaki copied them. I wasn't that fussed on them to start with but they've grown on me...they are different. Still looking for a rear hub and rim (I have a front hub and Weinman rim) to build some wire wheels for it some time so I've got the choice. There was also another Hamilton bike there with CMA mags so I guess to answer your question, they are allowed![]()
