    Hayabusa!

That would make a great exclamation! Especially after this evening. I met another happy Shorai user who has specified the 36A for his Fraser sports car.

The good Doctor of Neuroscience rides an imaculate 2011 Busa in a beautiful dark blue.

It has few obvious extras save for the cool Microns but he was saying it has been dynoed at 198hp at the wheel and has been de-restricted. "A lovely little bike," he said. Of course, being somewhat North of 6ft he would say that.

I mentioned that calculating from the gearing they would top out at 325km/h at redline and asked him what he had achieved. He thought for a moment and said he'd had it "somewhere over 300 at Brand's Hatch but to be honest I was a little busy to watch the speedo..."

He had bought it new and loved it. I don't recall seeing this shade of blue on one but it was gorgeous! Makes me very tempted to ignore the surgeon's warning...

Wait, people actually follow surgeons warnings? I'm a firm believer in finding a different doctor until one gives me clearance.

The probable consequence of even a minor "off" is paraplegia, even falling over could do it, so I accede to his warning and the pleas of wife and family. As it is, when out with my wife, she's constantly warning me to watch my step.

I have been in a wheelchair and on a mobility scooter and it wasn't a nice year or so. She doesn't want me to go back to one.

Sounds like you could at least manage a test ride one fine afternoon while the wife isn't watching.

Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....

I'm lucky enough to have the privilege of owning/riding either a 99',2000 or 2006 Sports tourer ( Honda & Kawasaki ) & feeling the difference 6 - 7yrs makes is immense, I've ridden a 2014 Busa & didn't feel any difference from my 06' ZX.... don't get me wrong there all awesome to thrash around but expected more from a 2014 machine like I did with the 99 or 2000 bikes....just saying
I Used to jog but the ice cubes kept falling out of my glass

Knowing my luck, I'd fall off and she'd get a call from A&E...

Nah, LiFePO4 batteries hadn't been invented back then.

This one is anything but standard. It would make a stocker look slow.

If the 99 Honda is a Blackbird then it's not so much a case of evolution, rather that the Blackbird is gay as fuck.

I miss my hayabusa. Almost every day.
No doubt if I had more coin in the coffers there would be another in my immediate future.

    Needs must. Family. Mortgage.

Stupid phone / Tapatalk, apologies in advance.
