That sounds about right. Stopped in whitianga for petrol and then totally missed the turnoff to cathedral cove...

    Which one were you?

Was a brilliant day. Last time I was up there was before I got a bike. Can't believe how amazing the roads are.

Mateeeeeeee, egg's, lotsa em, our girls gave us heaps of good'uns this year. With bailey an Guinness centres yum!
Ratbag and i both rode down to RotoVegas on Friday, father took a turn and visited the hospital, he got out yesterday, so we bolted back to Dorkland then, glad we did, no rain yesterday, but plenty today. Missed the bulk of the traffic, had to left hand skirt about 5 K's worth of stopped vehicles from HD to Te Kauwhata where where the roqd becomes 1 lane form 2, simple shit that motorists don't get, leave a gap, miss one out leave another gap, everyone gets merged no need to slow down. Na NOT our boys an girls, wer'e Kiwi's an we do what we want push, shove, stop, curse, fucking wait.
Bike, only way to travel on any long weekend.
Every day above ground is a good day!:

A great few days of riding, a little wet one day but overall a brilliant trip. The goal of this trip was to finalise time frames for the Smoking Dragon Route. Although a memory card decided to corrupt on me and chew up half my photos, here are some photos from the trip:

Well, mine went as predicted Met some interesting folks though. You never know who's hanging about if you don't take the time to ask.

    Few familiar looking spots

Primo photos as always too man. Wish mine came out that good. Was tinkering with a workmates Canon yesterday that you can take photos with through an app on your phone, however you can't use it to start recording video. So close!

Spent a few days riding rivers, hills, swamps and tussock tops over easter. 67kms of some pretty rugged passes through the hills towards janes peak. No major damage apart from the camera, which was a victim of my inability to pick a decent line through a river crossing. Bro's dr took a drink at the same crossing too, and needed a little draining and straightening.

Weather was good mostly, apart from some low cloud(1126mtrs) not too hot, and a little cloudy. Humidity did encourage some pretty hungry sandflies at the first campsite, but second camp was above the bushline in the alpine, so none of the bastards up there.

All in all, a great easter for me.
There was supposed to be an xr250 with us for the weekend but he decided to go to the beach and get on the piss with his family instead.
