All three can go, you're required to turn into the nearest available lane.

Reality is, if you're the one turning left, let the two right turning cars go first, because they won't know the road law and at least one of them will go straight to your lane.

and my work would be done.
however. I'd probably be there, between A & B just to mix things up a little.. Then I'd try to drift round the corner, exit onto the straight with some degree of lean and slide, only then for the back to grip hard, launching the front wheel high into the air as I start to straighten up.. flick thru another gear, front touches down at 150kph very softly, with a whisper of smoke, while it just raws off into the standing traffic waiting at the next set of lights only 300m away..

I nearly got taken out in Newton Rd by a cretin who didn't know he had to stay in the right lane. So, if you're on a bike, wait!

This situation happens all the time on Wellington's one way systems. Usually it is two opposite streets converging on two lane one way system. Usually the car turing left will sit and wait in case the opposite car turning right tries to fit into its land. Technically in your example everyone can go but until all people know the road code (and how quick you are) you may end up just waiting to see which of the opposite drivers are idiots!!

all the cars have right of way dont they..... since the one turning left "should" move into the closest lane..... and the ones turning right turn into their lanes........ (i voted other tho coz i misread the question )

You're joking right? You have seen what people do at roundabouts now following the campaign to re emphasise correct indicating technique?

    - Car going straight thru - indicates right before entering the roundabout.
    - Car going straight thru - indicates left before entering the roundabout.
    - Car going right - indicates left before entering roundabout

I've seen them all. The first two are much more frequent now since LTSA tried 'educating' drives as to the proper way of indicating.

This is why democracy doesn't work...

If you can't figure out how to work the indicator on your car... or stand at the pedestrian crossing banging the button hoping for the lights to change... how are you suppose to understand complex political polices.

(sorry, got a bit OT there).

I have never had to wait for 15 minutes due to a left-turning car ahead keeping to their "moral high ground" and waited until all right turning traffic had cleared (and the lights changed). But I have been abused for turning into the left lane of a two-lane street.

Dose people just don't know the road code.

However..... with cycle lans replacing all traffic lanes etc we are slowley being tought not to think for our selves all these up dated rd rules are teaching us to be brain dead PC shit I guess and I dont like it.

The round about thing is a classic example, I have pulled out in frount of a car that had its left indercator on (well I figgered it was turning left so I went) but in fact the car was indercating that it was entering the round about...... fuk me I know that how thick am I meant to be not to relise a car driving at me is entering the bloody intersection

Mate it was such a cock up..... you know how it is, people keep driving through a amber light stopping the turning traffic from moving.... by the time the oncomming trafic stops the lights are red.... so turning trafic dont get to move...... ohhh but yes they do, they (1 or 2 max) drive through a red light the traffic now on a green are booting it through and its all turning to a tooting waving the birdy suition..... again

FFS!!!! I just went down the road to go to the bank and here was a fuckwit in a 4x4 (No offense meant to 4x4 drivers OK) on his cellphone that just drove straight through a red light almost collecting me and someone else who were through the intersection.

Im sure that (OT I know),the road code says "Stop at red lights". Dangerous, I think you are onto something when you say some CHCH drivers are real turd stealers!

Yep....it's a deliberate ploy to keep Ockers on their side of the water
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
