After a few years of living with the tantrums of a Scarlett Johansen one does tend to seek out a lower drama model.

I find my GSA quite good in that respect. I can hold 110 indicated most of the time without too much fear of easily adding 10-20kph. Same with the CB919, so I've decided that about 100-120hp is my sweet spot.

2 bikes ago it was a ZX10R... that blighter could add 20kph in 6th gear without you realising

Only 20??? I know what you mean after riding mates R1, big horsepower in conjunction with digital speedo (LCD really doesn't catch your eye like a needle).

I've no problem with holding a set speed, just more the temptation factor with big horsepower.
