...I'd say the Sikh gentleman has more of a gift for the English language and better grammatical skills than most who dribble here...they are not Muslim or Arabic and they have a dispensation to wear their turbans in plenty of countries and even those who are policemen or in the military get the over-ruling dispensation...carry on you really clever, thick cunts...

You're projecting again, ellipsis. You're seeing race where there is no race involved. Nothing against Sikhs - quite the opposite. Have worked with many. Very much against religious dispensations to anyone with regards to safety regulations and law.

Exactly the same as when we have to take off our helmet inside a bank or gas station, but those who are all burqa'd up get to stroll around anonymously/unidentifiably. Muslim is not a race, it's a religion.

I thought about trying to do FSM church thing, with the colander hat, as my little form of protest for some of this stuff, but then I kinda thought for a second that I actually don't give a fuck who has what on their head when I go to the bank, or supermarket, or playground, so why bother? Just because I can't? Fuck why would I want to wear a burqa or a 'hat' ALL THE TIME EVEN WHEN IT IS INCONVENIENT anyway? I can't see their face, so what? They probably wish they couldn't see mine.

As for safety and law, is it because you are concerned for his safety, or because the law 'forces' you to wear a helmet yourself you can't stand to see someone get away with not having to...?
To me, you could ride in nothing but a floral bonnet, your choice, has naught to do with me.

...projecting, is that like showing movies...there is always a race, that's what some of us do, and 'or' differentiates between, [religion] or [sand eating tribes]. How the fuck did burqas get into this...Sikh males who don't cover their faces and are from India have got sweet fuck all to do with towelheads...

I'm not his nanny... his safety his mainly his concern, just as you and I are mostly responsible for ours. But when the law is not applied equally / fairly, it falls into disrepute. That is bad for everyone.

Projection (Psychological) 1) An unconscious self-defence mechanism characterised by a person unconsciously attributing their own issues onto someone or something else as a form of delusion and denial. 2) A way to blame others for your own negative thoughts by repressing them and then attributing them to someone else.

Burqas are another item allegedly required by some other imaginary sky friend, where people get dispensations from the law that applies to everybody else.

You can't (wont) wear the required headgear, you don't get to participate. We need an END to religious privilege.

If I can't wear my colander, you can't wear your towel.

Even if it is a bullshit nanny law to begin with?

The world is already over populated. Why are we trying to save people that are to thick to apply caution, or safety equipment, where necessary without wasting time and resources on laws, rules and regulations to enforce em.

Allow any and all religious nut bags, or otherwise, to not wear helmets I say. Take away safety testing for their electrical goods too I'm still happy to wear mine regardless of what anyone else is doing.

I understand where you're coming from, but just don't think a few people not having to wear a helmet is the thing to make a stand about it on

Plus tolerance, each to their own, who cares who wears what hat and that kinda stuff...

The last Sikh gent I worked with lives in Lahore... which is not in India. (Yes the majority moved out to India after partition, but there is a substantial population left in Pakistan).

Having worked in three of the 'stans I stand by my admittedly pejorative group description.

Not sure how the Maori got into this thread, as far as I know they don't claim religious exemptions to not wear helmets. But if they did, then yes one would expect the law to apply universally.

    Two things.

People whining about certain groups getting dispensation. This isn't new. You're just using this as an excuse to show how bigoted and ignorant you are.

Second, how is someones belief system any worse than a militant athiets who abuse others?

"Religions" such as Buddhism encourage tolerance of any belief system. You gonna shit on them too because of their more open minded views?

For the record I would prefer no helmet requirements for persons 18 years and over up to 50 kph on any vehicle, let Darwinism take its course.

    One thing.
    OUR Law says, Helmet!
Anyone coming to our country and "expecting" a world wide dispensation should be told. Fuck off, not here, here it's one rule for all.
Every day above ground is a good day!:
