Second, how is someones belief system any worse than a militant athiets who abuse others?

"Religions" such as Buddhism encourage tolerance of any belief system. You gonna shit on them too because of their more open minded views?

For the record I would prefer no helmet requirements for persons 18 years and over up to 50 kph on any vehicle, let Darwinism take its course.
Yeah - we're not seeing a whole outbreak of murderous atheism though are we buckwheat? and for the record, it's agnoticism not atheism. The current murderous jackpot is pretty much being hit on a regular basis by people who do believe so vehemently in their Imaginary Sky Friend from the 6th century they will behead you - and bomb you - if you dare to disagree.

As for the Buddhists - they don't expect religious dispensations from laws that I know of: so, no, they're good to go.

Interesting approach you have - disagreement has to be bigoted and ignorant? Ah well. Go through life with that approach and good luck with how far you get.

I don't see many groups who would "bomb you" if you disagree apart from terrorists and militant groups.

Given your logic, I suppose you'd prefer bikes don't use transit lanes, just because cars with a single occupant cant.
    One rule for all right?

No true - our laws say "helmet unless you are a Sikh".

militant atheists??, What militant atheists? Sound like typical made up bullshit you get from religious nut jobs. But what else can you expect from people who believe in hateful, violent, misogynistic fairy tales. Equal rights is an idea you people just cant understand because you want more rights than everyone else.

What about those of us who are athiests ??? I'm certainly not agnostic .. I do not wonder if there is a God, nor have I yet to decide - I know there is no God/s ...

No-one's asking for an exemption the law says helmets unless you are a Sikh ... no exemption is needed for Sikhs ...

Probably thought they were missing out on getting some free turbans or something.

Back to these Sikh fellows. Clearly they should be wearing helmets, as they all seem to have some sort of head injury already. Judging by how many have bandages on their heads.

Maori got into this thread because you posted:

So - I asked - do you apply the same concept to Māori? I.e. do Māori come under the same one -law as the rest of the population .. ???
