    $400. and 25 demerit points.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

That's the official line, but it didn't stop me getting on the CBTA... although I gather there was some discussion about it between LTSA and the Andrew from Roadsafe down here.

Choose where to speed - and you will never get a speeding ticket.

No I'm not talking about the track and I'm not talking about doing runners either, only a handful of people here can hack it at 200+ in traffic and be safe while they do it

That's just cheap thrills........ the real is paying $20,000 to repair the BMW who runs you over and blames you for it.

Actually the best value for money for a sports bike would be an old RZ350. You could find one for maybe $1000-$1500? (if you can find one)

actually gav has a point here.....i had the glory of owning a RZ250, just as soon as i go my learners. Goes like a cut cat, and only cost me $500.
Then i 'upgraded' to the RG150....NOT. However that was quickly solved when i chucked $1K at the motor
As for the 400 top speed........mine starts to get boring around the 220-230 mark (where the F is 7th!!!!! ).
But most 250's these days do a good 200 any how Hell my RG did 200 (about 230 on the speedo - they are fing inaccurate though).
For me the best bang for ya buck was the RG150ESRR???WTF???....but they dont make them anymore. And i got the speeding tickets and the wrecked riding gear to prove it. Why own a Hyabusa? when you can have a KILLER QUAIL!!!

err... only the 2 strokes and the ZXR and CBR I think.

Try telling that to JSG's or my R. It will just laugh at you. I have had an indicated 160, and I think JSG has had that to.

Yup 160 on a good day if you want to redline it. It will maintain 140 at 11k rpm for hours though.....

Im curious to know why everyone who is on their restricted with still a while to go wants to get a larger bike "just for the moment"? And why everyone is wanting to do their "Top Speed". Its people like that that give the other bikers bad names and kill themselves.

Get a bike that suits you and ride it to the conditions. I get a much better kick riding through the twisties than I ever would hitting my goverened speed on my bike.

Actually i love to really open up my bike.....so much so, that i leave it for rare occassions. Come on man - surely you had the biggest smile on ya face when your 250 valves began to spin past 18,000 in 6th?

Mate, just go find yourself an RGV250, bout a 93 ( or banana arm onwards ), then u can still ride on learners / restricted, but should keep up with a 400 if its not an old smoker. they have a lot more boogie than most 4 stroke 250's

I think the fine for having the wrong license is 400$ and they normally impound the bike for 28 days and you have to pay about 350 in storage ??? i know thats for cars

Have you taken your bike over any sweet jumps?
