You pointed your camera at me and pulled me over on my black Hayabusa , must have been about a year ago, somewhere between Motukarara and LR.

Remember you told me off as it was one of those 105 or under public holiday 'promotions' and I was doing 106, you showed me the readout.

We had a chat for a while and , ironically, you gave me a voucher for the very company you're heading to in lieu of a ticket. ( Is 106 speeding ? )

Best of luck anyway and my Mrs has used the voucher and done the course with Dan the man, All good and best of luck mate.

Shhhhhhhh, if the boss hears I'll get kicked for not following the policy..............oh, hold on...........I don't give a toss any more.............

Actually, I do care. Funny, at the time I had no idea I'd end up working for Dan. Seems ironic now. I'm having to be very careful not to be seen to be promoting the company I'm moving to.

Basically, 106 isn't particularly dangerous, but it's in excess of the speed limit. And that's the crux of it. The line gets drawn somewhere arbitrary, and it gets applied, hopefully with discretion.

That's the perfect outcome, you spent your dosh on a a course, instead of a $30 donation to the gubbermint. Nice.

Ask unstuck about east of Greenhithe...

Anyhow, "The Shore" is really only the area settled and served by North Shore Transport Company in the days of the Drommie's fleet of ferries... including the vehiculars...

True - my view was (and still is) that if I've done nothing to attract the attention of the law, then I want to be left alone.

RC discussed with me at some length that a 'random' pull of motorcyclists gives a 30% strike rate for any one (or more) of WoF, Rego, or licence issues. I can quite see RC's point of view, that it's pretty much worth pulling over anyone who looks in the least bit likely. Fair enough, but if you only target specific riders (and/or behaviours - such as noise, manner of riding, speed) then I suspect that the strike rate will increase and me, being hyper-alert to the presence of cops, will be able to ride unmolested and undetained at roadside.

As it happened, on the particular afternoon I was with him, the targeted strike rate was 100%.

    Hi Skoober

Did all the theory tests yesterday, and the advanced practical.

Luckily I knew what the required forward distance of a low flying Death Star was.

The practical was nerve wracking, funny how you get paranoid when someone is watching you. Passed easily, apparently.

So that's quite a few boxes ticked. Now it's just the 8 day full time I endorsement course to do, after I'm no longer in a blue suit. 3 weeks today. Exciting times.

    It's starting to feel real.

That's one of the biggest problems with the test, sees a few do dumb shit they otherwise wouldn't...
I've heard they no longer get you to say everything you're doing now? That was probably one of the most awkward part for me; it's just so abnormal to point out the obvious as you drive
