It would have been around 1990 when I enquired about buying the half fairing to put on my bike. Honda's well-known larceny with respect to parts prices goes back at least that far as I was quoted $900 . I had a full fairing made for it in Hamilton based on an RZ350 for rather less than that!

Ha. Me too. Bought a new one in 86 and about $4200 from memory. I would be prepared to pay $42 now for one. Not that I want one. Had a massive tank range and cool looks. Not so much a power beast though.

I had one for years. Bought it over the 500 because of how much smoother it was. Great little bikes with a lot of possibilities for bumping up the modest stock horsepower - open up the airbox, fit a slide carb, that kind of thing. Fun rather than fast though.

    Honda GB400 MK2 PART required

Hi, I'm looking to buy or swap the instrument mounting plate from a MK2 as I have a GB500 and have installed the MK2 fairing. I'm missing the bolt holes on the instrument plate for the wiring/loom box. I didn't realise this when I purchased the fairing and the seller now refuses the swap the part with me. Even after offering to pay for and do the work to swap the parts.

    Any help would be appreciated.
