I've just had the pleasure of dealing with the guys from www.motomox.co.nz and wanted to take the time to publicly acknowledge how good their service is. These guys stock great gear and know their stuff really well. I really appreciated the service I received despite only making a small purchase. I just received my RAM mounts, I agree - quick service, good buggers!
I'll be buying more from Motomox in future, I like dealing with people that are clearly focused on good customer service, their prices seem pretty reasonable too.

I'm thinking that I'll be buying a couple of Double Take mirrors for the DR650 at some point, I'm also planning on getting some good Klim gear eventually.
Motomox are looking likely to be awarded plenty of my hard earned cash.

It's great doing business with people who know the needs of adventure riders.
I recently purchased a Giant Loop Mojave Saddle bag from Paul and it exceeds my expectations. I lay the bike down a lot so I need to secure heavy stuff as low as possible, to make it easier for picking up the bike. Tested this feature of the Mojave's on icy Dunstan Trail a couple of time on Sunday morning & they also passed the impact test - a great bit of kit.
Won't hesitate to use Motomox again (plus Debs makes a bloody good coffee).

The first time I met Paul from Motomox was when we teamed up and rode the 2011 DB1K challenge section together with his twin brother and Shrek. It was a bit of a laugh with plenty of jokes thrown around that confirmed he was indeed a good bugger. (Photos of the 2011 DB1K here). I believe Motomox is quickly becoming a well known name in the adventure riding community because he is a genuine and passionate rider that sells good quality gear at realistic prices with stand-up support and service. MOTOMOX - Good Buggers indeed. I like the gear and the service is great.

Warning it's addictive, once I'd bit the bullet and splashed out on a bit of an equipment upgrade from the Mox's I couldn't stop going back for more.
Started with a Jacket and base layers, continued with camp stuff then Helmet, bags and bike bits.
My latest is a battery powered heated shirt base layer as an upgrade from my plug in to bike stuff and have my eye on that Garmin Montana 650 GPS they have there too.

But I'm going to have to stop spending soon though before my accountant me.

I guess I can chime in a little here, don't wonna prop him too much or he won't fit back in the door.

As far as Klim goes I have worn mine for 1109 consecutive days bar one or two, in excess of 6000 hours with everything thrown at it including +50 deg temps, relentless rain, cloud burst tropical downpours, volcanic ash and dust, tarseal from a hit and run ....and my wife

The gear is solid, while you simply can't keep rain out at the sleeve openings and collar etc as it does get in after hours riding in the wet the Klim gear was solid.

Having tortured it from Alaska to Ushuaia and 130000 km in between I wouldn't ride with less.

Expensive you say, based on the use I have had and my gear is still good I put it to you this way, if you rode 6 hours EVERY Saturday AND Sunday EVERY weekend year round it would equate to 10 years riding or 6 hours a week for 20 years.

Anyway, enough on that .... nice to see someone doing good quality adventure gear and good pricing ...something we Kiwis have been missing out on so bro I wish you the best for Motomox having stuck your bollies on the block to make it happen.

Nice to see good kit around used by a proper rider...

Hi Paul
I thought you may like to hear how well the Klim Arctic Balaclava performed on its firstr test.
I ride an old Honda CB500 which is as naked as the day she first took the road in 1973.
No fairing. No mini-screen. Just the wind as it comes straight off the Antarctic if it’s a weekend like the one we just had.
I left Wellington on Friday afternoon to ride up to Hamilton. All the central plateau roads were still closed when I left but open by the time I got to Taihape. By that time I had been riding for nearly three hours in mostly rain and always very cold weather (as you’d expect for the time of year) but I stopped for coffee and petrol feeling warmer than if it had been autumn rather than mid-winter. The only niggle I had with the balaclava was slight restriction of my peripheral vision but I fixed this simply by paying a little attention to exactly where the material was sitting when next I put my helmet on. The balaclava fits comfortably and well inside my full face helmet and does a fantastic job keeping out the cold! No annoying little gaps anywhere and no restrictions or pressure points. Everything stays beautifully snug regardless of the tearing of the wind or my head and shoulder movements. It was also great to find how much quieter my helmet was with the balaclava in place.
Snow was still lying in the main street in Taihape and snow began to fall again soon after I got up onto the plateau but still I remained comfortably warm all the rest of the way. Well that’s a bit of an exaggeration I guess. It really was a cold evening and got colder still as I made my way north through the Desert Road, Rangipo, Turangi, Taupo, Tokoroa and eventually all the way to Hamilton. But whereas I usually find I get to the end of that winter run through the central north island with such a cold head and face that I can’t speak, with the Klim Arctic my head, face, neck and chest stayed warm throughout. I can’t say the same for my fingers and toes. I guess that also showed how cold a run through it was. I wear Dainese carbon GTX winter gloves and I had a pair of Outdoor Research goretex mountaineering gloves over top of them but the cold still eventually got through to chill my fingers, but the cold never got near chilling my face! Instead of tensing up dangerously against the cold I could just enjoy the ride!
In short – I very highly recommend the Klim Arctic Balaclava for long winter rides on a naked bike!
