I am totally biased on this. Been listening to Marc Bolan this weekend and own a TDM with 65'000 km+ on it, nearly run in. Parallel twins are de rigeur at the moment and sound splendid. Anything built to compete with Ducati has to be fun. They go round corners.
Somebody who actually knows what they are talking about may pop along with an unbiased onion.

Edith. Just looked at pics of the other bikes. I rest my case.
High maintenance? I just put petrol in the TDM and check the tires. Basic servicing, maintenance and get on top of any abuse or worn bits and they run like a Swiss watch.

The trx is a great bike but shite for a pillion unless ya only going down to the dairy.

The Suzie 750 is a boring reliable comfortable bike but good-ish for pillions.

The rf, forget it, too small, under powered rev head.

    The other yamie, fook knows????

If ya want an interesting bike that does pillion well, an old CBR thou or a VFR, or yamie 1200 Xjr thingie perhaps?
