I've read and to be fair, posted some stupid comments on this site, but this has to be up there. Why would you want to cause an accident, to make a point about potentially causing accidents. Come on man.

"Oh look this guy left his bicycle unlocked, I'll steal it and teach him a lesson about how easily he could have it stolen."

Its not anything like stealing someones bike to teach them a lesson. If theyre breaking the law & using me as a pace car I cant really be held accountable for their stupidity & inattention. My conscience is clear.

Ok good for you, I mean if I was the cyclist getting taken out or the car getting rear ended or whatever I would think you were a complete tw*t for making the road a more dangerous place and giving yourself a pat on the back about it, but I'm not that person (yet, anyway) so I'll hold my tongue. I mean for me I've learned the hard way that it's not about being right it's about people not getting hurt because that just sucks for everyone.

Heres a trick i learned off a fellow KB member, If someone is texting next to you at the lights, they can see you in their periphirel vision. suddenly roll forward while your light is red then stop, they will instinctively take off & either hit the car in front, or enter the intersection under red light. Either way they will learn their lesson about texting & driving without the need for you to become directly involved.

Heh, that reminds me of a time when I was with a mate in my car coming up to the lights when this other car pulls up next to me and the driver starts mouthing off that I'd cut in front of him a short distance back.

I was sure I didn't, but he wouldn't hear it so my mate started to get out of the car and the guy then bolted and got a car length into the intersection before he realised we were still on a red.

Luckily there was no crash, but we all actually cracked up laughing.

I agree 100% with you. Same as people who play policeman and brake check trucks, what if that truck loses control and hits other traffic.

Back to topic, both are twats but the biker is the key fool here. If you want to front someone up about something you have to be ready to ride the dragon wherever it takes you...
And there are nutters out there some with gang connections or hangers on that will go ape at being told off about anything. Let the police do the policing...
And what would your insurance company say in such circumstances when you had the opportunity to avoid engaging in dangerous scenario...

Well... I thought the rules about phones and cars were pretty simple: hands-free is OK, a standard cellphone is not. Doesn't matter whether you're at the lights or moving, a normal cellphone keeps your eyes off the road and your hands off the controls. As soon as "texting at the lights" is OK then that's the gateway to everything else.

Next time you're riding on a straight stretch of 50 kph road, have a look in the oncoming windshields - it is truly jaw-dropping what some Kiwi commuters reckon is OK to do behind the wheel. Eating from a tray with utensils, applying makeup in the rearview mirror, arranging hairstyles (with both hands), and of course yakking on a cellphone or texting. While steering with one hand through a tight intersection. I've seen it all.

Cars just seem to turn some people into morons.

At least his dangly appendage didn't cause him to back pedal when he saw her pretty face But he also didn't appear to make much effort to get away from her - it looked like he had any number of opportunities to put some distance between their vehicles. He obviously felt unassauged after his first outburst so took every chance to back it up (especially when she so considerately stopped in the middle of her lane to interact with him).

That has to be the best ad ever on why not to wear a go pro... couple of things going on here.

Apart from making himself look a total douche, he's nutting off and threatening a woman with her kid in the car. Looking at the Big SUV with mags its not the sort of thing woman generally buy. Add that and the kid and I'd say there's one bad motherfecker of a hubby somewhere, possibly a 1%er who will now be looking for the biker that nutted off at his missus.

Now when is the vid coming out of someone being obstrcuted by a goho hero blocking the lane telling someone else off, that will be comedy gold.

The same chap told me about tooting the horn hard out when you see someone teeing off on a golf course. Its fantastic entertainment if you get the timing spot on (about a third of the way down on the gravy stroke) & im always amazed how many times people are teeing off when I pass a golf course.
