In most single speed MTB races the winner gets 1st and everyone else gets 2nd. Tradition.

Maybe this guy should get it, made it home unaided through green hell, with a knee injury and within time LOL

Mario Roman, who overcame a serious knee injury and having to scale Downtown without the support of fellow riders to reach home with just over 60 seconds to spare
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

Same thought crossed my mind, although I read somewhere else 'mostly' unaided.

    Legend either way!

It was a massive effort by that Welsh rider.

The first five struggled with the combined efforts of all five of them.

They were hauling 5 bikes though...

Last year's entire race was only 30min longer than the time they spent in that one section.

    Brutal.

his finishing time was officially recorded as 2nd fastest on the day. They didn't want to give him the 2nd place race points it seems, Duckworth-Lewis eat ya heart out.

Just read your other post aboot teh 450's. I think Erzberg, any Hard Enduro, is a clue. Modern 2t's, particularly the 300/350 enduro bikes pull like tractors from nothing, dislike stalling and have a screaming top end. I think one of the Hemingway brothers had nearly 150kmh on his trip meter between sections. Geared for those hills and rocks? Weigh bugger all, too.

Oh. I forgot to say, cheers Nordie, would totally have missed it had you not posted.
