Bullshit. Don't sell us motorcyclists short. We have every right to use a car sized space. The size of the vehicle is unimportant (as long as it fits).

Too right. If a motorbike in a car park annoys you, then so should every car in the car park that came with only one person.

The chance of your shit getting run over if you park it in a single car park increases exponentially. Happened to me 8 months ago, never parking in a single car park again.
Cunts pull in to fast and are most likely so blind they wont see a 1300cc bike in it. Doesn't matter how far back you park, they will still find a way to knock it over. In Auckland the "useless gay cunt" factor is over 9000 times higher than the rest of the country, Westfield malls are club house and hang around spot for these types of people. I tend to stay well clear.

From experience parking tickets issued on the shore are the hardest to bargain your way out of. Next one I get im going to freeze a peice of my own shit and courier bag it to the council, must have paid them over 1k in the last 8 years. I once moved a dereged car out onto the street, was a parts car, needed to move it so I could get my trailer out. Went inside for ten mins and came out to a 400 buck ticket for no wof or reg. Wrote in and got laughed at, cunts can get fucked next time

You must have a good income to afford all that ... and sounds like you're a slow learner to boot ...

Nice Letter, and now that times have changed, I sincerely doubt that it would work today.

    Parking fine

I can count on one hand all the parking fines I have ever had.
1 on a car for no reg while I was paying my reg. Not waved, fair enough. The rules were pretty clear.

    1 exceeded time limit.
Waitakere CC would not accept that I could not in fact travel at the speed of sound. After a few minutes arguing and showing receipts I just paid the $8 because it wasn't my car.

Unless one has slipped my mind: Tickets on a bike 0.

hasn't happened to me - but I watched a car driver try to move a Ducati out of a car park so he could use it .. the bike was in gear and the driver couldn't shift it ..

Yeah .. seen that happen too ... watched a driver push over a bike, which promptly fell on his car causing serious panel damage to the car as the left bar banged through the panel ...

Went to Sylvia Park for pretty much the first time (visiting Torpedo7). Whole sections of the carpark were height restricted to 2.2m so my van couldn't fit. Cue several sections of reversing because I couldn't turn around either.

Do you think I could lodge a case for height discrimination?

To OP: I tend to park next to bicycle stands. Nobody tends to mind.

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

shit, I dont see why you cant take up a park with a mobility scooter or a bmx, if you are having to pay for the us of the park, the vehicle type really shouldnt matter

Agree. We're paying for the space... we can choose what we plant on it for the time we pay for it.

If everyone on a bike took a car park all the time maybe (done it bold red so it looks sluttier (to imply looseness)) they'd see sense and change the rules.
    Yes.
At gas stations to get to a pump.
At pak n save NP I came back to my bike to find my bike in the main aisle half in the trolley return. In a nice arc from where I left it.
At pak n save NP I came back to find bike rolled forward to the gaps between the rows and someone in my spot. No way out until someone moved their car, so I had the car towed.
At st Luke's someone moved my scooter to a space beside a pillar so they could have my spot.
In Devon st New Plymouth I was parked sharing a space with 3 other bikes. Came back the others gone and my bike pushed on its side on the footpath.

Only one of those is in the last 20 years. Should be easy to spot.
