Why didn't we hear about this AWESOME better work story from your neighbourhood?????

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/the-press/new...peding-traffic

"Mann said he moved into the lane as the turn was too narrow to stay left, as the New Zealand road code's recommends. " WTF does the cyclist think he is a truck, turn too narrow to keep left, what BS, hes not towing a trailer....

Must have been obstruction if even Asians were reluctant to overtake

There's a lot more to that story then is in the paper. The guy who wrote the ticket was one of mine.

I'll fill in some details later today.

Just been reading that over my morning coffee...already posted a "GREAT JOB OFFICER" comment

its a great example of how STUFF panders to cyclists!

    -Knocked off twice before!
-Has a police officer ticket him and explain the LAW (keep left at all times and do not impeed the flow of traffic..argues for nearly 20mins about it)
-Has then disputed this in court, presents all the evidence and his version of events...and lost!
-And yet still disbelieves the fact that maybe HIS riding style was at fault, and is possibly the cause of him having so many accidents

And as per usual!, STUFF backs HIM up, and calls the police officer an "overzealous police officer"that "ignores all the facts"(BS!)
...and what about the judge??...was he "overzealous and ignorant of the facts" and the actual law as well??...AFTER seeing all the evidence presented by this cyclist?...I dont fuckin think so!

Tell smidsy or fireball...GREAT FUCKIN JOB!...they deserve there pick from http://www.thedonutboutique.co.nz/
...AND a coffee to go with it.

Glad my day started with a laugh at that story of blatant ignorance...I dont think stuff will post my comment tho...due to it containing facts!

    ps, hope ya well Ras

I usuallytake mine off for servo's or stores, except in winter for servo's...I can understand there fear due to the amount of crazy fuckers robbing servo's & stores etc...but when you have just filled up AND holding the cash clearly in hand??...that one stood out as an over the top reaction.(One of the few Ive experianced to be honest)

meh...shit happens (But agian...glad im not the only one getting yelled at )

Hey theres a poll there now CHECK out the results.... comments disabled after 1024 replies...

Didn't have time to watch the vid this morning so just did. What a tool, my first thought is he's like what Paul Henry would be if he was a cyclist and not a wealthy TV presenter
Oh and you can tell people are 'international' tourists by looking though window. Note the double camera setup, typical example of a gopro user probable creating there own drama...
Well Rastus I'm waiting in suspense for the update

BTW I've been pushbiking my way to work for last week or so as current site its easier than finding somewhere safe to put MC gear for the day. Mixture of road and illegal footpathing, night and day riding.
Have not had one single incident with cars... maybe its because I'm making my self aware of my surroundings and pedalling at a sensible pace that makes it easy for cars to get past and looking over my shoulder.

Just one fact that didn't make the paper.

When the patrol officer rode up beside the tool and told him to pull over, the tool said "Fuck you".

Now, I wonder why the paper didn't print that little fact.

And for future reference, tickets are issued to people who are decent folk who speak nicely, so what chance does saying fuck you give someone?

I bet that was the 'Denoumont' of the trial when the evidence was presented.
What kind of idiot contests a minor traffic offence after speaking like that, knowing full well the cop will definitely mention that!!!

Recent defended speed camera ticket for 61kph.

It didn't go well with the guy defending it what with being found guilty, court cost - AND $700 costs for flying the prosecution expert withness down AND said witnesses fee of $300.
