Pfffft, you guys need to travel more. It's in nz like every other country but no worse than most. You yourself are probably just more sensitive to it rather than forgetting about lifes occasional dickheads and getting on with it![]()

I ride with this in mind:
Right of way isn't something you have, it's something you're given
And when I'm riding home from work, on the last leg up Mokoia Rd, I always flick my lights to show the Birkenhead Busses that they can come out into the road ahead of me. And, I'm pleased to say, they always flash their hazard lights in thanks.
yeah I take a Karma-based approach.
I let about 50% of people in, and about 50% of people let me in, seems to work.
As above..I put myself in that persons shoes who's trying to get out.
We all have places to be, I'm happy to take half a second off my travel time to let someone in who has been there for potentially 5-10 min
The thing that grinds my gears are the people who tail gate to prevent merging like a zip..causing more traffic to build up
